AREA CONTROL SERVICES

 The Area Control Services Section of the Air Traffic Control Services Division, the National Civil Aviation Center of Mongolia provides air traffic services in the airspace above 6,150 meters up to 14,600 meters from the mean sea level, is responsible for controlling air traffic in “Class A” airspace.

 The provision of air traffic services, aviation information services, and information alerting services for aircraft operating in the airspace of “Class A” is governed by the Civil Aviation laws of Mongolia, the Mongolian Civil Aviation Rules, and the rules and procedures of air traffic control.

 The Class A airspace of Mongolia is divided into six sectors: “Tuv”, “Murun”, “Gobi”, “Dornod”, “Bayan” and “Altai”.

 Area Сontrollers of the Area Control Services Section are responsible to provide surveillance and coordination services, and maintaining separation between aircraft within “Tuv”, “Murun”, “Gobi”, “Dornod” and “Bayan” sectors as well as air traffic control procedure for “Altai” sector.
